Richard Gayfer
Originally from Invercargill, Richard graduated from the University of Otago in 2019 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in French. After being admitted to the Bar in March 2022, Richard worked for three years at Oranganui Legal on the Kāpiti Coast, working on Waitangi Tribunal claims and Marine and Coastal Area Act applications.
Richard joined the Māori Legal team at Mahony Horner Lawyers in May 2025 and spends most of his spare time playing in various musical groups throughout the Wellington region.
