Matewai Tukapua
Matewai joined the firm in June 2026 following practising as a barrister at Kōkiri Chambers, where she specialised in Public Law, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori land issues. Prior to practising as a barrister, Matewai worked as a Crown Counsel in the Crown Law Office’s Treaty Team and with the firm Kāhui Legal. Matewai has whakapapa to Muaūpoko, Te Ātihaunui-a-Pāpārangi, Taranaki Tūturu and Ngāti Kahungunu.
